Similar to the infamous Husband Unawareness Plan, Here is yet another document wherein Mary Kay predator Beverly Wenger teaches her recruits to sell to overcome women’s various objections, including disregarding the potential customer’s spouse [emphasis added]:
Concern: “I need to ask my husband.”
Response: “Do you really love the MK? Would you like to have it? Well, I’ll bet your husband is really sweet and there are just times in married life when we just can’t be together to make decisions, aren’t there? I’m sure he’d trust your decision. Which way do you think he’d rather have you pay for it, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or with a check?”
“May I suggest something? If you go home and ask him and he throws a fit, you’re not going to get it. Yet if you go ahead and get it and he throws a fit, you’ve still got it!! I haven’t known yet of a divorce over a MK set. Which will work better for you, MasterCard, Visa, Discover or check?”
Note how the Mary Kay predator breezes by the objection and closes the objection by asking what type of payment.
